Bari
Wonderful city and my first stop in Italy. A city I can definitely recommend visiting. Especially during the first weeks of May when they hold their Translatio di San Nicola festival. Bari is the city that has kept the majority of Saint Nicholas' bones for 937 years now and getting those bones to Bari is something they celebrate for 3 days every year. I've been here for about 2 weeks now, regularly visiting the Basilica San Nicola and I love it. This city for me at least is very inspirational. It doesn't have a lot of greenery or beaches, but it does have Saint Nicholas and gelato. You win some you lose some I guess. But for me to see both the Basilica and the festival was definitely a dream come true. My travelling plans for the upcoming month or two are mostly visiting more Italian cities, making my way up to Venice and then France.
