Traveltime

Going at it again. And it's been awhile since my last story. This time I am sitting at Miami International Airport, waiting on a flight back to the Netherlands. Because I am too jobless, poor, old, single, male and had no return ticket  when I landed here a week ago, my trip got cut short with me being allowed into the country for only a week this time. So be it. I landed here a week ago, enjoyed the beach and the area, trying to get a least some USA experience and currently waiting to return home. 

I am actually looking forward to it, getting some more rest before trying to continue my travels, I probably need it more than I realized before. It does mean for me that I will need to do a lot more planning as well to prepare for the remaining parts of my intended travels. But all in due time. 

Prior to Miami I stayed in Aruba and Curaçao, beautiful islands in the Caribbean Sea, close to Venezuela. I can comfortably say that I enjoyed those a lot. The weather is hot, but somehow the islands are amazing. Temperatures feel like 40+ every single day, the only thing cooling it down a little bit was when the sun wasn't visible, be it through clouds or night. The temperature didn't change that much, it just felt a bit cooler. Fascinating experience to live in weather like that. But all in all the islands and Miami don't offer large amounts of culture in the same way that large European cities do. So what is left is enjoying the beaches, the ocean and the weather, luckily all of them offer plenty of that, and so I did. Quite an excellent way of spending time, even if it wasn't completely intended to feel like one large beachholiday, it certainly did.
